MONK: New therapist, new episodes

Comedy-sleuth series Monk returns for its seventh season July 18 on USA Network. Following the death of actor Stanley Kamel, film and TV veteran Hector Elizondo joins the cast as the new therapist for compulsive detective Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub).   2. Is Hector Elizondo as effective in interplay with Adrian as Stanley Kamel was? This is my absolutely favorite TV show, in fact the only one I watch, and I own every season so far.

  3. We don't have cable, Susan, so I won't know the answer to your question until this season comes to DVD. But in theory, it certainly sounds like good casting.
